Why DBird

Private, simple, and built for every language

No mic access, no cloud transcription, no accounts required — just the translation line you need, right where Zoom already shows captions.

100% private

Translation happens locally in your browser — nothing is ever sent to a server.

No mic, no audio setup

DBird reads Zoom's own caption text — no microphone access, no device routing.

No data stored

Nothing is collected or saved. Close the meeting and there's nothing left behind.

Built for multilingual teams

Everyone follows along in their own language, no matter who's speaking.

Great for learners & freelancers

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a paid Zoom plan?+

No. DBird works with the standard free version of Zoom — as long as Closed Captions is available in your meeting.

What languages are supported?+

English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Romanian, Chinese (Simplified), and Korean.

Is my data private?+

Yes. All translation happens locally inside your browser using Chrome's built-in translation engine. No audio or text is sent to our servers.

Does the free plan have limits?+

The free plan includes 150 translations per day. Premium gives you unlimited translations with no daily cap.

Does premium cover Teams too?+

Yes — one DBird Premium plan covers both the Zoom and Teams extensions.

Can I use both inline and chatbox mode?+

Yes. Switch anytime in the DBird popup — inline shows translation below each caption, chatbox gives a floating panel you can drag anywhere.
